St. Lucia, designated a British Crown Colony in 1814 under the Treaty of Paris, is known for its natural splendor and as a perfect paradise with over 400,000 visitors annually.  The well visited island, part of the Winward Isles, is an English speaking country with a population of approximately 183,000 inhabitants.  St Lucia became an independent nation within the British Commonwealth on February 22, 1979.

Tourism accounts for roughly 65% of St. Lucia’s GDP and is a popular wedding and honeymoon destination.  Born of Volcanic origin, the Island of Saint Lucia offers natural beauty in every direction.

Higher education options include the University of the West Indies and the notable Sir Arthur Lewis Community College.

Saint Lucia has adopted a best practice approach by learning from the experiences of its Caribbean neighbors with Citizenship by Investment Programs.  The St. Lucia program was launched on January 1, 2016, the newest of the Caribbean offerings.

Following price amendments in January 2017, the donation option has become more competitive and appealing.   Investment options include the National Economic Fund, Real Estate, an Enterprise project or Government bonds.

Nestor Alfred is the St. Lucia Citizenship by Investment (CIU) Head since August 2017.
